White Squirrel in Hendersonville's Blue Ridge Mountains

This is a bookmark for children that I created from photos I took of a local white squirrel. It used to be we had to walk over to the nearby horse ranch to see the white squirrels, but now one of them has followed a gray squirrel to the trees near our house. They run so fast, and chase each other through the tall trees alongside our house, - it is as if they were playing tag.

You can purchase this bookmark at my Nature'sViews store on Etsy by following this link  Pat's Etsy Photo Print store. The white squirrels are very skinny, and very fast. They leap through the treetops at lightning speed, and you will try to follow one with your camera, and will suddenly lose sight of him. Then, a couple of minutes, the white squirrel appears on a totally different tree, or possibly on the ground not far from where you are standing. They are amazing creatures. Story is they escaped from a traveling circus in Brevard, N.C. and have flourished here - and are expanding their stomping grounds.
